I picked these roses out of our back yard. They look better in the kitchen than they will after our 104 degree sun hits them. We have been watering all day long. WOW it is hot and our ground has cracks in it I am not sure we can water enough.
I did quilt a little on my flower quilt but then my ADD kicked in. I have been wanting to make this quilt ever since I had seen it. It is in the Quilt magazine Feb/March 2011. The name of the quilt is Bonnie's Blissful Day by Bonnie Olaveson. She used her line of fabric Bliss. Since I do not have much of it I am going to use Swell by the Urban Chicks. I have a couple of charms packs that is going to work great. I have cut out most of the pieces. Maybe next weekend I can start sewing them together. You know how it is quilt a little, sew a litte and read the computer a little.
I just love the roses and dots in this fabric. I hope everyone has a Wonderful week.

pretty roses and pretty fabrics too - sure to be a gorgeous quilt
ReplyDeleteYour roses are so pretty! I hope you get some rain soon. We have had rain for the past 3 nights in a row, along with huge lightening storms. The fabrics you picked are really pretty! You are so brave to work on curved seams in a quilt! I avoid those, because I'm terrible at it.
ReplyDeletepretty flowers donna, and i love your quilt
ReplyDeleteI love the fabrics you selected for your quilt! The roses do look so nice inside. It is far better to enjoy them than let the heat get to them!

Hello Donna,
ReplyDeleteI am totally with you it is steamy hot here in Florida but a great reason to jump in the pool or ocean. I so enjoyed seeing the photo of your flower quilt and fabric; it is just OUT of this WORLD pretty. Stay cool and thanks for sharing.

Love your roses! We finally had a little rain last week but not enough to "fill" the cracks in the ground!
