Good morning and Happy Friday.
I can not believe it is almost the middle of December.
I have just been plugging along. Some of you know I have been quilting at a local quilt shop 2 days a week. This week I worked late trying to finish some quilts so our customers could have them for Christmas. So I have been busy doing that and quilting from home.
This is part of one of my customer quilts. I found this sweet polka dot fabric to make binding and it matches perfectly. Well, I did not get a picture of the front of the quilt. (AGAIN) The quilt is the sweetest baby quilt ever. The ladies grandmother made it but it never was quilted. The front had the sweetest hand embroidery and applique. I used loops so I could go around the hand work.
This is part of the quilty fun we are having on Instagram. Lori Holt from Bee In Your Bonnet is hosting it. I think most of the people have finished there quilts, but you can still find the instructions on Instagram. I am behind, and I think there are 2 or 3 more blocks I need to make. Just thought I would show you a few today.
This is my gingerbread boy. I love how he turned out. This is one of the sweetest blocks and you know how much I love rick rack.
Ok, now when I was making this block I loved it. Then I took a picture of it and now I think the back ground is to busy. Whoops!
This ornament I love. The instructions where to use 3 fabrics and rick rack in the middle. But I just love this fabric and wanted to use a whole piece. Sometimes I just have to be the odd bird. I had a small piece of rick rack for the hook. When I was sewing it down I had it in a more curved position. It was really had to pin since the rick rack is so tiny, well I did not get as much of a curve on the top as I wanted, but I still love it.
Today I am working on piecing a western baby quilt for my sister in law to give as a Christmas gift. So I better get going.
Hope you all have an awesome day.
Hugs
