Retreat Time

Hello, hope y'all are having a great weekend?

A couple of weeks ago I went on a retreat in LaGrange, Retreats by Margie.  This is the first retreat I had ever been on.  Oh my gosh we had so much fun.  I can tell you that I laughed so much tears ran down my legs. The food and accommodations were great.

This is me and Carla from http://mylifealittleofthisalittleofthat.blogspot.com/  I had never meet her before, in fact I did not know anyone.  She had been reading my blog and knew I lived in the Houston area so she invited me.  Oh I am so glad she did.  She is a total sweetheart.  Thank you so much Carla I had a blast.   I just love how our blogs bring us together.

This is Janet and Sandy is in the background.   Janet made breakfast for us the first morning.  I did not get a picture of what she was working on but it was gorgeous.

This is Cindy and Pat is in the background.  Cindy was so sweet and we really got to know each other.

This is Donna V.  I think she is working on a post card?

The back wall of the sewing room was decorated for Thanksgiving.   I was just in love with this quilt.  It was gorgeous in person.

This is a bed and breakfast next door that is on the Texas historical register.

This is the gang.   I did not know anyone, but they all made me feel welcome.   By the time we all left, we were all friends.  What a awesome group of people to get to know and sew with.  We are thinking about going again in March 2014.

This is the road going out.  I just love this picture.

I did finish my Circle Upon A Circle quilt top, but I will show you when I get it all quilted.  That is a great question I have no idea of how I want to quilt it.  Maybe feathers?

Our guild is doing Quilts of Valor.  I have one on the machine now, will show you when I have it all finished.  Time to get back to my sewing room.

Hope y'all are having a great sewing day.

Hugs
donna

I didn't know you but when I walked into the Quilt shop in LaGrange I knew it was you in that lavender shirt. LOL. Love your picture of that red house on the drive out. Wish I had taken one. Can't wait for Spring and another retreat! Hugs my Lavender Queen. ;o)
