My New Island

This is one of the latest pictures of my Duchess.  I can not believe how time is flying.  Not much sewing getting done here.  I went to an estate sale last Friday with Carla and Sharon.  The prices were really high and we did not find much.  On Saturday I went antiquing with my sister and my niece.  It was a great day.  My niece is in the Army and she is getting ready to go to over seas.  I am so proud of her but of course I HATE to see her go there.   My sister lives only about an hour away and we do not get to see each other very much and we had a blast.

When we went to Warrenton in the spring we found this enamel top table.  I thought this would make the perfect island for our kitchen.  My sweet David is finally getting time to add longer legs and a shelf on the bottom of it.  I wanted to keep it as original as possible and finding super cute legs has been a chore.

This is the end result.  Now all I have to do is paint it and clean it up.  I will show you more when I am finished.
It is time for bubbles and bed.  Hope y'all are having a great evening.

  7. That's what mine needs...a bottom. Tell Mr. David to come and do one for me. This is going to be so beautiful when its done. Sweet Duchess look at her bow. So glad you had a chance to get away with your sister and niece. Thinking of you this weekend...smiles..Renee
