Nancy brought me these ornaments last week.  She found them at a thrift store and she said that she bought all three boxes.  That lucky girl.  I know where she goes and every time I am in there it is a dud.  She does live closer than I do so she is able to hit it just right.  Thank you so much Nancy I just LOVE them.  I am using my grandmother's tree this year and the ornaments are perfect.  I will show you my Christmas tree as soon as I get some more presents wrapped.

Last Wednesday  I had lunch with Joyce from http://youngbydesign.blogspot.com/ and exchanged our Santa Sack gifts at La Madeline.   I just love how Joyce wrapped these gifts.  The rosettes are just gorgeous.  She always as the greatest ideas.   I think I will have to figure out how to save the rosettes.  We have one more exchange but we are waiting to see what the date is going to be and then we are going to meet for dinner.  I can not wait.  My Santa sack is FULL.  Lunch is so much fun with Joyce she always makes me Laugh.

Well I truly think I need to ask Santa for a better camera for Christmas.  These pictures do not do this fabric justice.  It is Pam Kitty Morning's latest fabric.  I am so in love with this fabric.  The top piece is white with tiny yellow polka dots I thought that piece would make a great back ground piece.  Now I just need to figure out what I am going to make.  In the mean time it is going to be fun collecting it.

I bought 2 of these cute little kitty panels.  Just could not resist these vintage little kitty's.

Now this is really a BAD picture I am so sorry.  David and I went to Old Town Spring yesterday just killing time while we where waiting on a part for our son's car.  I was looking for dog fabrics and I really had to dig since the shop owner loves cats.  Well this is what I came out with.  I am going to make a couple of aprons for Kristen for Christmas.  She is the lady that grooms our Duchess every week.  Kristen is a total sweetheart.  I feel like I should of made these for her long time ago.

Well once again it is a very windy day and very dusty.  I guess the dust is coming out of the fields.  I am hoping to get some sewing done and in between I need to mod podge a trunk for my niece for Christmas.  Nothing like the last minute since we are exchanging gifts next weekend.

Hope everyone has a WONDERFUL weekend.

  1. You are inspirational as usual, Donna! Man I guess the ornaments were a jack pot! I love them. I haven't hung any glass ornaments, cuz my kitty thinks they are for batting across the room and pouncing on!
    Blessings,

  6. What georgeous vintage ornament and Nancy is a wonderful friend to share her find. We just arrived back from S. Calif and I must admit I didn't follow my blogs as usual. I appoligize for not getting back to you on selecting my blog with an award. Thank you for thinking about me, but I have decided to be an award free blog. Thanks again. Hugs

  10. Those ornaments are beautiful! I would love to find some vintage clip-on birds like the ones my parents had on our tree when I was growing up. After seeing all the treasures you find, I started going to the Salvation Army superstore about an hour away once or twice a month. I have hit the jackpot there with a print I bought for 50 cents. My middle daughter Esther calls it the "Treasure Store" and asks to go every day:)
