This is our Vintage Christmas tree this year.  I found some new Shiney Brite ornaments at Home Goods this year and Dillard's last year.  They where much cheaper than the vintage ones.  I did add the ornaments that Nancy gave me to complete our tree.

These are the tags I am making this year for the packages.  I just love this Santa.  I found him at http://imagimeris.blogspot.com/  Thank you so much for sharing Meri.  You should visit her blog it is wonderful and she is just a sweetheart.

This is what I have been doing today.  I embroidered some throws and some other things that I can not show you because the gifts are going to people that read my blog.   I did finish mod podging my nieces truck and my suitcase is finally finished.  When they are finished drying I will take pictures to show you.

  1. I love your silver Christmas tree. We had a green metallic one when I was a kid and I would love to get another one or a silver one with the appropriate decorations. I saw one years ago when I lived in Connecticut and have always regretted not buying it! Enjoy!

  3. You have been a very busy girl! And your aluminum tree looks cute! It doesn't really matter if they are new or old, as long as you like the way they look. :-)

  8. My grandma had a silver tinsel tree and a rotating light that would shine on it. Remember those? I loved that tree and color wheel!

  9. I have been embroidering quilt labels today. Sometimes my embroidery machine makes me crazy. Sigh. I am making some progress.

  16. It is a very pretty tree. And the vintage looking Santa Tag is great. I really had fun making some tags this year. It was the first time I made these kind of tags, I used to sit down and hand paint tags with my mom when I was in my twenties. It is fun. I think the embroidered throws are a great idea. I have a little embroidery machine that I got last year, It sure is fun to personalize things for people. I would love to see more of what you do, are you using a home embroidery machine?
    Merry Christmas,
    Susie

  18. Donna,

I love your vintage tree! I found the new Shiny brites last year at Home Depot and was so thrilled. I bought 3 boxes I think. It was so fun to rediscover them when I opened up our Christmas boxes this year.
