I finally finished my $5. suitcase.  After mod podging it, it would stick where it was hard to open.  So I had the brainy idea that I would put purple rick rack (imagine that)  around the bottom so when I closed it, it would no longer stick.  You guessed it now I can not close it.  Whoops!  So I finally got the middle latch to close so I forgot to open it and take a picture of the inside.  The inside is also done in purple fabric.  I am going to store all my rick rack, trims and ribbons in it.

I joined a Christmas tag swap at Sue's http://suelovescherries.blogspot.com/. This is what my swap partner Angelina sent me from http://shoprubyjean.com/ I just love my new tag.  Angelina also sent me the most beautiful angel Christmas ornament.  I tried to take a picture of it but could not get a good picture. (sorry)  Thank you so much Angelina.  I would also like to Thank Sue for hosting this swap.  It was a lot of fun.

This is the tag I sent Angelina.

My cousin had a little boy 3 years ago.  He is like an only child since his bigger brother is 19.  I do not think there is a toy that he does not have so I decided to make him this pillow case.  Landon seemed to just love it.

Tomorrow is going to be a big sew day for me.  I am not making anyone quilts this year for Christmas since I did not get my act together early enough.  So it is going to be other crafty things.  I will have to show you as I finish them.   I missed the FNSI last night.  We had a Christmas party at work and by the time I got home I was pooped.  But we did have a lot of fun and laughs.

  3. I had that same trouble with my mod podge suitcase. Eventually it stopped sticking. I don't know if it finally dries out or what. Love yours. Is Angelina not the sweetest? What a great swap. Enjoy your sewing tomorrow. I will be stitching too...smiles...Renee
