It has been raining the better part of today.  Yeahhhh!  The rain makes it so much cooler outside I am just loving it. Maybe some of the cracks in the ground will start to close up.  That way we will not fall in and get lost. (giggles)

This is a little cart that Sharon get me awhile back.  She had it painted black.  Well last weekend David painted it purple for me.  He did a great job.  I am going to use it in my sewing room.  Thought I could maybe get one more piece in there. (giggles)  Once I get it all set up I will show you what it looks like.

Welcome to my new home.  I found this doll house in Warrenton for a bargin price.  The lady I bought it from said she thinks it is from the 1950's.  I think I was born a little late?  Wish I could turn back time for a day and live in the 50's.  Seems like it was a great time.

This is the nursery.  To bad you can not see the alphabet one the side of the wall in blue.  I am just a bad picture taker.

This is the living room.  I just LOVE the fire place.

On the other side wall of the garage are lawn things.  But I just love the little yellow bike.  Not sure I would like to mow the lawn with that mower.  But on second though I would get some great exercise.

Once again my camera skills stink.  This is the bedroom.

I did get a little bit of furniture with my new house, but I am not sure it all goes with it.  I only put a few pieces in to get a better idea of how it would look.  I had a side view of my new house but I had trouble rotating it.

Here are a few coloring books that I could not pass up.  When I saw them I thought I would frame them for my sewing room.  They are just to cute to put away a save.

I have not done much sewing.  But I have been quilting sorry nothing to show yet.  Right now I got one of Sharon's quilts on my quilting frame.  It is going to be a Christmas gift for her sister.  Guess I better get back to quilting I have only quilted 2 rows so far today.  Hope everyone is having a GREAT weekend.

  3. Your doll house is so cute, and it does look 50's style. The girls had a doll house that their grandpa made for them, and they had it in their room for many years. There's nothing like a sweet doll house, is there?

  4. Donna,

I love your dollhouse! I had one something like this one and sure do wish I still did. I found one in an antique shop, but am hoping the price will come down a little. I think it would be so cute for storage in a sewing room.

Hope you had a good weekend!

  7. What a darling doll house from the 50's. The only bad thing about being around to enjoy the 50's is that now your 70. Hugs

  10. Love the decor in the dollhouse, Donna! I've had my eye on one in town but it's sooo pricey. I don't think you're a bad photographer. I would imagine that it's very hard to take photos of those tiny, shady, shiny rooms!

Yes, frame those color books! I have so many things that I want to frame. I wonder if I ever will? ♥

  12. Donna,
Somehow I missed your posts :( My blogroll is crazy sometimes.
I had a little house like this when I was a little girl in the 60's and I loved it. I so wish I had it now! Love it!
