Hello Chickadee's.  Boy today the North wind has really been blowing and the temps are still at a 102.  Maybe soon we will get cooler weather.  Thought I would show you one of my quilts that I hung on the wall by my quilting machine.  I love this quilt in all the purples and lavender.  The hearts are my absolute favorite.  I used some fabrics from the Debbie Beaves collection. ( hope I spelled her name right)   Sorry the picture does not do it justice.

I had been telling you about the shelf David hung for me.  Well I finally got it loaded with some treasures.  Once again the picture is not so good Sorry.  The little sewing machine was given to my mom by her aunt when she was little.  Much of the detail is gone.  But I love it anyway.

This is the next project I am working on.  I painted the little faces today.  So I am guessing maybe I will put them together tomorrow.   Shoot I forgot to show you the hat that goes on my little scarecrow.  There are a lot of projects going on in my sewing room.  I have a quilt on the machine while I do a few rows I have my sewing machine doing some embroidery then I stopped everything today and ran to Hobby Lobby about 45 minutes away to get the goodies for my scarecrow this afternoon and I still forgot a few things.  I guess that is why David tells me to make a list.  WHOOPS!  Hope everyone is having a great evening.

  9. Lovely quilt! Great shelf. I had one like that in a kitchen long ago...you just reminded me I enjoyed it so much...maybe a shelf for the sewing room is in order. It would help me decide what to do with some treasures I don't want to part with.

  10. How cute is that dear shelf. I need about four of those. Now that I see yours I should have done that above my door way...simply genius. One of these days I will get over my fear of quilting. I am always so happy to peek at your beautiful creations. This one is no exception. Smiles...Renee

  11. Hi Donna! So glad you came by so that I could meet you! Thank-you for your very sweet words--they mean a lot!

Sounds like you've got lots of fun projects going on! Love your new shelf, too--the little sewing maching is just precious--how wonderful that you have it! And I recognize the sweet little Madame Alexander baby doll in pink on the left--it was my oldest daughter's first baby...we still have it--very loved (hair's a mess!), but I wouldn't have it any other way!

I'll be following along on your adventures...hope you're having a wonderful Labor Day weekend!

  12. The quilt is lovely. I particularly like the floral in the outer border. Your shelf is great. There is such a lot of space up near the ceiling for all sorts of things :) Can't wait to see your scarecrow.
