I am so happy it rained this afternoon for like 20 minutes.  Now I do not have to go out and water. One of my favorite things is to listen to it rain.

This is a quilt I made forever ago it was part of the Thimbleberries Watermelon camp.  Thought it would be perfect to pull out for the fourth of July.  Today I have done a little quilting.  I decided not to follow anything and do loops.  It is turning out ok.  Quilts always look better anyway after they are washed.  My David is bringing home dinner yeahhh I do not have to cook.  Hope everyone has a great evening.

  2. I love the sound of the rain too - especially at bed time! Love the watermelon quilt - says summer to me over here is winter. $th of july always brigns back lovely memories of sitting watching to local fireworks displays when we lived in Connecticut and everyone dressed in red white and blue!

  3. Your quilt is so nice and summery! And I must admit, a summer rain is nice...when one hasn't been inundated with rain. I am just happy for a traditional hot 4th this year! I did make an interesting discovery today...I have no red/white/blue/Independence date type quilts. Not even any mini quilts!! Guess I will have to do something about that!!

  6. Your watermelon quilt will be perfect for the weekend festivities! I wish it had rained here. My poor plants are positively wilting in this awful 100 plus weather. The lake should feel nice since it's been so warm!

  7. I too love the sound of rain - and the smell of it - so clean! No rain for us today, unless a storm pops up. We're hotter than FL today! I love your watermelon quilt, that is really gorgeous!!
