Last year I made this skirt out of a pair of old blue jeans and a vintage table cloth. I just love it but I am trying to decide if I should leave the hem raggy or I have some light weight knitted trim to go on the bottom. It is suppose to be frayed but I think it needs dressing up. What do you think?
Made this tea towel a few weekends ago. It is a Late Bloomer Quilts pattern Sweet Hearts. I just love hearts and rick rack.
This tea towel is made from the left overs of my skirt. I think these small roses where the border of the table cloth. It is so pretty hated to waste any of it. Still have a little left and there are faint stains here and there but that is what gives it that old look and that makes me love it even more. Well I had put my Circle of Friends quilt aside so I think I will work it that a little bit today. Hope everyone is able to get out and enjoy a little sunshine.

the skirt? I would dress up the hem - the raw edge with teh bits hanging down would annoy (and tickle) me. Love the teatowels but would never be able to use them! Way too cute!
ReplyDeleteI made one of those skirts for my daughter and she loved it, I did too, I should make one for me!! Yours is BEAUTIFUL!!! I just love that material, and love your sweet little tea towel!!! Pretty!!!!!! I like the unfinished raveling hem myself. ;)
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea for a skirt. Now I wish I had kept some of my older tablecloths. I'll be sure to keep my eyes open in the future. I would definitely dress up the hem a bit. I think it would look finished and more polished.
ReplyDeleteLove the adorable towels!!!! Too sweet.
