More Half Fan Blocks

Happy Friday my sweet friends.

A few months ago when I got Brenda Riddle's Durham ANew by Lecien in I started making the blocks for this quilt.  It is from Darlene Zimmerman's book Fresh from the Clothesline.  I am just in love with this book.  If any of you would like one let me know and I will see if I can get some?

Here are a couple of my blocks.  I need to make 25 total for the size quilt I am making.  The top one is finished and the second one still needs the blue quarter circle.  Hopefully I will get more done over the weekend.

I am all finished quilting Autumn's quilt.  Will show you more when I have it binded.

This is my new sewing room chair.  I used chalk paint and boy is it wonderful.  I keep trying to find the right chair.  So far this one is it.

Hope you have a wonderful weekend.

A Quilt For My Niece

Good morning chick a dees.

The is my precious #1 niece Autumn.  She is in Afghanistan right now and will be home soon.  YEAHHH!!   I  am quilting this quilt for her home coming.

This is a Thimbleberries 2007 club quilt I did in 2007.   I thought it would be the perfect quilt for her.  Of course my borders do not look like that.  I used single strips of fabric.

This is the quilting I am doing on it.  Hearts and Daisy's.  I just thought it fit.  Please keep Autumn in your prayers that she comes home safely.

Thank you Autumn and to ALL the men and women in the armed services for keeping us ALL safe.

Finally Getting To Sew

Happy Monday my SWEET friends.

I finally got to sew this weekend.   YEAHHH!  This is barn 7.  I joined Lori's Barn Along over at http://beeinmybonnetco.blogspot.com/  and I am addicted to these barns.   I had the pin wheel block all done I just had to make it into a barn.

Block 8

This is as far as I got with this barn.  I still need to add the white borders.  It is not to late to join in girlee's  so pop on over to Lori's http://beeinmybonnetco.blogspot.com/ and see what is going on.  She is also making a tractor and a cilo block.  We are putting a mini barn up for our lawn equipment I can not wait to finish, I think there is a quilt block in it's future.

I also got a quilt put on the frame.  It is going to be for my niece that is coming home from Afghanistan soon. It is a Thimbleberries quilt with a  home on it.  This poor quilt has been hanging in my closet for I know about 5 years.  I am just not into Thimbleberries anymore.  Promise to show you more when I get some more quilting on it.

Hope y'all have a great start to your week.

In other news I am still cleaning up my yard.  It is so hard to catch up.  We have not had much rain so everything is drying up and we are having to water.  My sewing machine has been calling out to me but I just want to finish up the yard so I can move on to the next thing.  Maybe this weekend I will take a break from it and get to do some sewing.

Hope you have a WONDERFUL weekend.

How Time Flys

Good Wednesday Morning.

I am no longer working and WOW how time fly's.  I have been catching up with friends and not really sure where the day goes.  David and I have been treasuring hunting but I can not show you just yet.  The goodies are all for a friend.  But I promise to show you later.

I have been working in the yard cleaning around my rose bushes.  It is so hot here, but is feels so good to hear the birds sing.

I want to share with you that if any of you live near a Star Bucks they will give you there used coffee grins.  My friend Sharon brought me some and I sprinkled all around my roses.  My roses love it and it makes them smile.

Hope you have a wonderful day and get to hear the birds sing.

Hugs,

Rain and Mail

Hello girlee's.  Hope you are having a great weekend.  Today we are getting some much needed rain.  I just love to hear the rain hit the roof and to listen to the thunder.
Not any sewing going on around here.  We are still working on some final touches in our bathroom and hanging shelves and reorganizing our closets.  Will it ever end??

I ordered this gorgeous tea towel from Heather over at http://vintagegreyhandmade.blogspot.com/
She is such a sweet heart she also sent me a hanger that she crocheted in PURPLE and a little cushion.  Oh I love it all.

Here is a closer look at the tea towel.  Heather http://vintagegreyhandmade.blogspot.com/ makes her tea towels out of vintage table cloths with crocheted scalloped edging on the bottom and a Dresden plate on the side with a dollie in the center.  Oh there is so much detail in all of her work.  Thank you so much Heather I love every detail.
