Monkey See Monkey Do and A Win

Good morning sweet Chickadee's

My mom used to say Monkey See Monkey Do when someone did something someone else was doing.  Well I did just that. lol  This has just been a cutting table for me for some time.  When Lori over at http://beeinmybonnetco.blogspot.com/ showed us how she did her pressing/ ironing table I knew I had to do it.  My creative room seems very small with my quilt machine in it.  There is just not much room for the ironing board and I have been searching for a solution.  So my sweet David unscrewed the top and we stabled batting first, then ironing material and last the sweet gingham from Flower Sugar 2013, you can find the fabric at http://www.donnaslavendernest.com/   I still use this as my cutting table but when I need to press I just have to remove the cutting mat.  If you want to see how Lori did it you can visit her at http://beeinmybonnetco.blogspot.com/  Thank you so much Lori, this has made things a lot easier.

This is one of the Quilty Barns I did over the weekend.  I think there is one ahead of this one, hopefully I will get to sew it this week.  Well as you can see my corner stones should have been a darker lavender.  But I loved the little purple flowers so much they clouded my judgement lol.  I had not done a lavendery/purpley barn yet and I guess I was just determined.  You know if you have not started your Quilty Barns it is never to late to start.  You can visit http://beeinmybonnetco.blogspot.com/ to get started.

A few weeks ago I got these really cute patriot kids in the mail.  I rarely win anything so when Marlynne over at http://mcreatesdaily.blogspot.com/ emailed me and told me I was the winner, I was over the moon with excitement and could not wait to get them in the mail.  Thank you so much Marlynne for these cute kids.  Every time I display them I will think of you.  If you have not visited Marlynne at http://mcreatesdaily.blogspot.com/ you really should, she is a very talented lady.

I have been piecing and quilting for a couple of ladies in town and that has been keeping me busy and I just can not believe August is half over.

Hope you have a wonderful day and get to create.

Hugs
donna
