Hello chickadee's. I am a little late in posting FNWF. Hubby took me the early show of Conjouring. GREAT movie and a must see. Then some shopping.
This is what I did lastnight. I was in the mood to do some hand stitching and watch tv with my hubby. There is not much left to do. To see what everyone else did please visit Cheyll over at http://stitchingcubbyhole.blogspot.com/ Thank you so much Cheryll for being such a sweet host.
Yesterday my sweet hubby took off work to take me to the Texas Quilt Museum in LaGrange Texas and to do a little antiquing. This is the garden you pass on the side of the museum on the way in.
This is the center of the gardens. I just loved them.
Side wall of the Quilt Museum.
The other half of the wall. We where not aloud to take pictures on the inside but the quilts are fabulous. I was in awww at all the beautiful quilts.
LaGrange didn't seem to have much in the way of antique stores so went to Smithville for some antiquing and Bar B Q. I did not find one thing. Some of the shops have closed there doors and a few where not open. Both are very small towns with a lot of charm.
Hope you are having a wonderful weekend.
Hugs
donna

ReplyDeleteHi Donna,
ReplyDeleteLove your pretty embroidery! Sounds like a wonderful time you had with your sweet hubby! And, I can only imagine how neat it was to see so many pretty quilts!! Have a lovely night! xo Heather
It is always nice to see quilts from different times. I like the way they haven't really changed that much over time. It never ceases to amaze me that older quilts are hand sewn and quilted. The snowman is a cute stitchery.
