Happy Saturday morning. I am so excited I can finally show you the surprise quilt. It is for Keren at http://www.freeprettythingsforyou.com/. Keren has received her quilt so I can show you now. Whaooo! This is a king size quilt for her bed. Keren is on one the sweetest people you could ever meet with such a sweet heart. Her blog is just precious. If you do not know Keren you should go pay her a visit.
Julie from http://ricracandpolkadots.blogspot.com/ sent me the fabrics and I pieced and quilted it for Keren. Julie is another sweetheart with a very giving heart. I was hoping you could see the quilting. When I took the picture before I shipped it, it was very dreary outside kinda like today. The top is 100% cotton fabric. Since Keren lives where it gets colder I found a super sweet flannel for the back. I quilted the quilt with roses and hearts. It turned out sooo sweet. I just love all the fabrics Julie sent she really has a good eye. If you have not been to her super cute blog you must go visit her. You will fall in love with it.
Just a friendly reminder I am having a 25% off sale in my shop until Monday February 25th.
Hope you are enjoying your weekend and doing things that you love.
Hugs
Have a wonderful weekend

ReplyDeleteLovely quilt with such soft colors.
ReplyDeleteWhoa, I wish I had known you did quilting for others. I'm sure Keren is over the moon happy with her quilt.....it's gorgeous. Well done you! I've started a king size duvet cover for my new bed and I doubt I'll ever really finish sewing all the pieces together, much less quilting it. I always take on huge projects without realizing my limitations, like how crappy my hands are getting.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing this lovely piece of art with us.
Hugs,
Meri
