I joined in Friday night with FRIENDS at Cheryll's over at http://stitchingcubbyhole.blogspot.com/ I fell like I got a lot done. I finished quilting the surprise quilt that I can not show you yet and it might be a little bit longer. I still have to sew the binding on and down.
My sister (Wanda) spent the whole day with me. We did not get to get together for Christmas so this was our day. After I finished quilting the surprise quilt I put my sister's quilt on and I got it all quilted. She made this quilt for a 16th birthday. She did very well I think. As you can tell we do not have the binding on it she was going home to do that as it was getting late.
I did finish the binding on this quilt. This is my Raggedy Ann and Andy quilt. It is made out of a vintage sheet and it is one of my favorite things. I quilted hearts and flowers on it.
Here is a closer look.
The yellow check is also a vintage sheet. I just thought it went so well with this quilt.
Hope you are having a quilty day.
Hugs,
thats a lot of quilting done... good for you and it looks so pretty...

You accomplished so much! Lovely quilts.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun flashback...when I went to college I took my cheery yellow spread that had Raggedies on it! Of course I took my Raggedy Ann too. I spent my first paycheck of $ 12.00 in 1973 to buy a Raggedy Ann. My Mom had read the stories to me when I was little and I never had the doll. Fun.
