One Week of Christmas

Cheryll at http://stitchingcubbyhole.blogspot.com/ is hosting One Week of Christmas.  This is day 2 you stop by and pay Cheryll a visit.

This is the Christmas stocking I made for Dillon when he was little.  Back when I crossed stitched. On the inside I made a label that says I finished in 2002.  Thank goodness for that label.  I would of never remembered when I made it.   It hangs on our mantel.

This is another one of my vintage flocked Santa's that I put in a glass dome with a pearl necklace around his feet.  It sits on a table under the tv that I got from my grandma except my grandma's tv sat on the table when I was little.  So many wonderful memories.

Merry Christmas.

Christmas Decorations

This is one of our book shelves in our family room that I thought I would decorate with some of my vintage Santa's.   This year I found two elves and thought they needed to be added.  I am just learning about the Elf on a Shelf.  lol

This is our Christmas tree.  It is small but I love love it.  This Christmas tree reminds me of my grandmothers when I was growing up.  It is one of my favorite things ever.  There are some vintage ornaments on it and new vintage Shiney Brites.  The vintage ornament wreath above was  made and given to me last year by my friend Carla.

This is one of the snow globes I made today.  All I did is hot glue a vintage flocked Santa and a Christmas tree behind him on the lid of a jar.  I added some snow I got at Wal-Mart and tied a piece of lace to the lid.  tada a snow globe.

Hope everyone has a GREAT week.

Merry Christmas to ALL and to ALL a good night.

FNWF and a Give Away

I joined up with Cheryll at http://stitchingcubbyhole.blogspot.com/ for Friday night with FRIENDS.
Thank you so much Cheryll.

Dillon and Erica wanted Christmas stockings to hang in there apartment.  Dillon wanted camo and I just happen to have some.  I added burlap to the top and  I embroidered there names on wool felt before I sewed it on the bands.  You know I also had to make one for the grand dog as well.

This is the quilt I have been working on.  It is made out of onezie's.  All I have to do is finish hand sewing  the binding down.

Meri over at http://imagimeris.blogspot.com/ is have a fabulous give away.  Head over to her blog and see all her pretties.

Hope y'all are having a wonderful weekend.

Happy Wednesday

I have been going totally crazy over vintage Christmas decorations.  Just thought I would show you the bells, Christmas balls, Santa's and reindeer that I have found.

I was over the moon with excitement when I found these felt stockings, jingle bells and trim.  My thought was that I would try and reproduce the stockings.  This Thursday in our little town we are having shop the block and one of the vendors texted me and told me she is holding more vintage Christmas for me.  Oh how I can not wait.

This Friday night I am joining Cheryll at http://stitchingcubbyhole.blogspot.com/ for Friday night with FRIENDS.  I am looking forward to this, hoping I can get some Christmas presents made.  All I have to do is sew the binding down on the quilt I am making and hopefully I can get a picture of it soon.

Lots of Hugs

Sweet Swap and Mail

Just look at this sweet Santa face.  He is a bell ornament and so cute.  I joined a swap over at Debby's http://cozyblanket.blogspot.com/ the swap title was A Cup of Kindness.

Oh boy I got some beautiful goodies from Louise Lucerno (she does not have a blog)  You might have to click on the picture to see all the pretty's.

Here are some more goodies that where included in my box.  I was so spoiled by Louise she is so generous and GREAT swap partner.  Thank you so much Louise for all my wonderful goodies and a BIG thank you to Debby who headed the swap.

This week when I opened my mail box I had an envelop in my mailbox from Renee at http://myvintagemending.blogspot.com/  Oh my gosh it is the most beautiful glittery cookie cutter angel Christmas ornament.   Renee is so sweet and talented.  Thank you so much Renee.

Today I got a customer's quilt on my quilting frame.  I pieced some of her little boy's onzie's. It is turning out so cute.  Last night I discovered I did not have enough backing fabric so I had to go all the way back to Sugar Land 45 minutes away.  So I pieced the back today and it is ready for stitching.

Hope y'all are having a great weekend.
