Yummy Swaps

I just had to start off with this cute little elf.  See his eyes, well that is how my week has been.  A lot has been going on in our house and I have hardly been home.   I am so glad it is Friday evening and we can finally relax.   (I hope) 

I joined Cheryll's Santa Sack Swap again this year since last year was so much fun.  You can visit Cheryll at http://stitchingcubbyhole.blogspot.com/  Anne aka Nana B at http://stitchingbythebeach.blogspot.com/ is my swap partner.  I am looking forward to getting to know her.  It sounds like we both have a lot in common.

I have also joined Cheryll's OASS.  Cheryll's swaps are so much fun and I just love meeting new people.  Since it is winter in Australia this is a winter swap.  Sherry sent me this beautiful table runner.  I tried to get a close up picture.  Hope you can see the snowy cottagey homes.  Sherry you nailed the fabrics I love it.

 These are some goodies that where also in the box.  Sherry really out did her self to spoil me.  Thank you so much Sherry I love all my goodies.  You are a sweet heart. 

I am still working on my OASS.   I plan to be done with everything this weekend.   The dead line is May 31st and I plan to have everything in the mail on Tuesday.

My very first quilt pattern

I am over the moon excited.  This is the secret project I have been working on.  I designed my very first quilt pattern.  Scrappy quilts just have my heart.   It was a lot of fun but a lot work as well especially since I am computer challenged.   Today I had some help from a very dear friend with the front of the pattern.  Wow it is finally done.  It is in my Esty shop http://www.etsy.com/shop/DonnasLavenderNest Hope y'all will pay me a visit.

Not much else got done today.  But I am happy with the results.  Since I was off today this is going to a long week for me.  Hope everyone has a WONDERFUL week.

It is finally the weekend

I am so happy it is the weekend.  Had to work last Saturday so maybe this weekend there will be more time for sewing.  This is a lamp I made a couple of weekends ago.  It is a child's mannequin.  Joyce from http://youngbydesign.blogspot.com/ got it for me.  A children's clothing store was closing by where she works and she got a great deal on it.  Thank you so much Joyce. 

This is what I am working on for the winter swap over at http://stitchingcubbyhole.blogspot.com  We are suppose to keep our partners a secret.  So I figured I could show you since no one knows where it will go.  I am waiting on some buttons from http://hillcreekdesigns.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?  They have the cutest buttons.  I ordered some snow flakes for the eyes I just hope they are small enough??  I will show you more as I finish.

Is the not the cutest panel you have ever seen.  I feel in love with it and knew I just had to have it.  Not sure what I am going to do with it yet but for right now I think I will just admire it.
