Apron

Oh gosh I finally finished my apron.  I changed the yellow check for the red and I like it much better.   The teal elastic lace is from my shop and it matches almost perfectly.   I just had to be careful not to stretch it as I sewed.  The floral fabric is an old table cloth.   The front has three pockets I just stitched down the front twice.   This apron is one of my favorites.

Now I would like you to meet Doxie.  This pattern was designed by my sweet friend Julie at http://ricracandpolkadots.blogspot.com/  I normally do not make animals or dolls because I am just not good at it.  I have a hard time reading patterns since I am visual I look at the pictures and try to figure it out.  But this was the easiest pattern ever.  I had no trouble following it.  Julie has been making patterns for several years and she really knows how to make them easy to read and follow.

Of course my Doxie had to be purple/lavender.  I am so in love with her.  If you would like to purchase a Doxie pattern you can find her here http://www.etsy.com/shop/RicRacandPolkaDots?ref=em

Hope everyone is enjoying the weekend.

  6. Ohhhhh....I love your apron.

Your doxie is adorable. =) It reminds me of the autograph dog I had as a kid. The kind you have your friends write on? Writing on yours would NOT be a good idea. =)
