We started our day early. First we went to an estate sale. Where I found these two books. The prices where really high so I did not come home with much. These two books really have been loved by someone and I just could not pass them up.
David took me for a delicious Italian lunch in Houston. We where going that way to pick up some supplies that we had ordered so we can start on our shower. It is going to be a looonnng process.
Hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend
I just adore the Three Little Ducks!! So sweet!! Your Italian lunch sounds yummy!! Have a wonderful weekend!! ;) xo Heather
ReplyDeleteMiss Donna, my parents are in Houston for a funeral this weekend...always makes me nervous to have them travel at their age. I am so glad you had a chance to pick up these sweet little books. They are truly worth their weight. Gentle stories and beautiful pictures to make you smile any time. Smiles...Renee
ReplyDeleteI so remember THREE LITTLE DUCKS!!!!!!
ReplyDeletecute books Donna.xx
ReplyDeleteSorry, your estate sales weren't that great. The books look cute. We're getting ready to redo our shower as well. Our tile is a little too vintage -- not in a good way. Good luck

Cute books. I have always expected estate sales to be a bit high, but I am shocked at the prices these days at yard sales!!! We have a thrift store here where books...old and very used even, are 25% off the publishers price!!! I guess my days of getting books for 50 cents or $1 are gone.

Look at the face on that bunny! So cute. I guess sometimes, there just isn't as much to get excited about, but then that makes those good finds even that much more joyful!

Hi Donna,
ReplyDeleteI'm catching up on my blog reading--love the two books you found. Don't you hate it when the prices are too high? It's fun to look, but more fun to come home with some bargains!

Oh dear friend! What a wonderful ... you are now enjoying the arrival of spring, is not it? Singing of birds, flowers, many flowers ... all magic and beautiful!
ReplyDeleteWell, here we are entering in the fall and for a tropical country is hard to like the cold, but it's all part of nature, then ... the coming of the cold!
I loved your visit, you are very dear!
Hugs

I still have my copy of 3 little ducks from when I was younger and the I shared my books with my daughter when she was born. One day should she decide to settle down maybe she can read it to her little one
