Happy Saturday Chickadee's.  This is a pin cushion I made for a friend's birthday.  I got the old sifter from an antique store.    When I saw it I thought it would make a great pin cushion.  I am not sure if I am done I feel like it might need a little something more.  I will just have to look at for a while and see what comes to me.

On the top I just had to add a yoyo flower with a green button.  With some rick rack trim.

On the back I made a rick rack bow with a blue button.  I made the pins out of some beads I had.

These pin wheel block's I made are going to make a comfort quilt.  I am not sure of the quilter's name.  We where asked to make them for a quilter that has cancer but it is all a surprise.  I will keep you informed of the progress.

I have been cutting out 2 1/2 inch squares out of some scraps I have.  Not sure what I am going to do yet.  But they will be there for when I get a vision.

It is such a pretty day here.  The outside is calling me.  So I thought I should clean out some of my flowers beds.  Hope all of you are having a beautiful day.

  7. My grandmothers and my mother had sifters like that one. Their sifters stayed in the flour bowls with the flour.
