Well I did not get any sewing done yesterday.  But we had the most wonderful day.  We went back to Warrenton again yesterday for a day of treasuring hunting with some friends.  I bought a metal dress form
which I will have to show you later it needs some paint.  I was thinking of painting it white so that when I put something on it for a picture it would pop.  But my heart tells me to paint it lavender.  What do you think?

I also found a couple of aprons which I love.

The scare crows are so cute.  Could not resist.  Thought it would be the perfect fall apron.

Then of course you know I would have to bring a few feed sacks home.  And there always has to be a purple one.

The top one in this picture is a full flour bag.  It is still stitched.

I thought I was going to get my purple feather weight back this week.  But David came home on Friday and said that they may have it ready this week.  You know I have ants in my pants and can not wait to get it back and start sewing on it.  Hope everyone has a great day.

  2. Wow Donna, love the aprons, very very cute, and the flour bags, you don't see those over here in NZ! We just have plain bags with maybe the brand name printed on them, will hunt down what I have and take a photo to show you!
    Happy stitching, Michelle

  11. Your scarecrow apron is so cute. My granny and Mom always wore aprons. Wish I'd kept one of Grannie's. I did make a basket quilt using fabrics from a couple of her old aprons so I have that for a memory of her.
