Welcome 2011! Hope everyone had a safe and fun New Year's Eve. Ours was very low key my cousin and her friend came over for gumbo. We played UNO which is a blast. It is fun to bring out the old games you forget about. Well I have to tell you that after Thanksgiving David took me to Fredricksburg and on the way of course we stopped a few antique shops and I found a few feedsacks. I pretty much got all the stains out. I use oxyclean and I have found that so far that works the best. I found a few whole pieces. Feedsacks is one of my very favorite things. It is so much fun to hunt for them.
I am thinking these will make beautiful pillow cases or window curtins.
If you look close you can see where some of them where sewn closed.

I am so jealous - years ago when I did a country heritage tour I met a lovely lady who lives in Fredricksburg and the stories she told make me really want to visit - was it lovely? Love the feed sacks!
