Website Finally Done

Oh gosh I am finally done with my website. http://www.donnaslavendernest.com/ YEAH!  I wanted to do something that was easier for everyone to order yardage.   Shipping was my biggest thing but Amanda at Shoppe Pro is awesome and helped me out a lot with that.  Thank you so much Amanda for ALL your help.  You rock.

Well David and I went on an adventure today.  We both thought that Warrenton started today.  Not so much.    Vendors where setting up and a few where already set up and were happy to let us shop.  I found some really pretty feed sacks and after they are washed and ironed I will put them in my shop to share with you. While we where out we went to some other towns near by and went antiquing.  All and all we had a blast.  But I am beat and ready for the bubbles and some tv.  Hope you have sweet dreams and a great weekend.

Fan Block

Durham Anew fabric by Brenda Riddle is so sweet.  This weekend I got a little sewing in and these are a few of the fans I made.

This is a finished fan block.  This pattern is out of Darlene Zimmerman's book fresh from the clothesline.  So far it has been really easy.  I just love this fabric for this block.

This is a seek peak of our bathroom.  David got most of the remaining tiles laid today.  He just has a few more pieces around the edges.  I am loving how it is turning out.  This picture just does not do the purple tiles justice.

Hope you got to do some sewing this weekend?

Busy Weekend

We had a busy weekend.  Still working in our bathroom but I am finally seeing some progress.  We are finally getting to use our shower and the floor is coming together.  I will have to show you pictures later.

I wanted to show you a picture of my quilt hanging in the quilt shop (Quilters Cottage).  So sorry the picture is bad.  I am so over moon excited they sold all my patterns but the one that hangs on my quilt.  So we took them some more.  It makes me so happy that someone likes it.

I only got a few minutes of sewing in this weekend and made only one granny square I guess that is better than no sewing.

Hope your week is going well and you are doing what you love.

Oh How My Brain Hurts and New Fabrics Coming Soon

I have been working on my new website which is coming soon.  That really takes A LOT of brain power.  It is taking some time to get it all put together but I will let you know when it is all done.

Thought I would show you a couple of pictures of a few of the fabrics I have coming in from Lecien.  This new line is call Durham ANew.  I am so in love with these florals.   I have been tracking them and they are suppose to be here on Monday afternoon.

I am going to give my brain a break and sew some granny squares.  Hope you are having a great week.

More Granny Squares

Not much sewing going on over here.  We are still working on our bathroom UGHH!  Next it is time to repaint the closet and bedroom.  I decided to get a little more involved in the process to move it along a little faster.   Can we hide the remote? lol.

These are a few more of the Granny squares I have made.  The top one is  made from feed sack.  I thought it was time to  cut them up and make something pretty with them.  So  I thought I would do the edging in vintage white but as you can see in the picture there is more of a brown tone.  Not sure I like that?  This pattern uses 5 inch squares and you can find it over at Trish's from http://notesofsincerity.blogspot.com/

These two blocks are from a Darlene Zimmerman's book Granny Quilt Decor.  I am using up some of my Lecien scraps for the petals.

Look what I got in the mail this week a package from Heather.  Look at all the pretty's.  She is a girl that knows how to wrap.

This is what I ordered.  One her tea towels.  Heather is so talented, I love how she does her tea towels.  Just look at the beautiful half Dresden plate flower and the vintage dollie all the way down to the crocheted edging.  If you have not been to Heather's store you are missing out.  You can go here http://vintagegrey.storenvy.com/ to see all the goodness she hand makes.

Hope everyone has a wonderful week and stays warm.
