Surprise Quilt

Happy Saturday morning.  I am so excited I can finally show you the surprise quilt.  It is for Keren at http://www.freeprettythingsforyou.com/.  Keren has received her quilt so I can show you now.  Whaooo! This is a king size quilt for her bed.  Keren is on one the sweetest people you could ever meet with such a sweet heart.  Her blog is just precious.  If you do not know Keren you should go pay her a visit.  

Julie from http://ricracandpolkadots.blogspot.com/ sent me the fabrics and I pieced and quilted it for Keren.   Julie is another sweetheart with a very giving heart.  I was hoping you could see the quilting.  When I took the picture before I shipped it, it was very dreary outside kinda like today.  The top is 100% cotton fabric.  Since Keren lives where it gets colder I found a super sweet flannel for the back.  I quilted the quilt with roses and hearts.  It turned out sooo sweet.  I just love all the fabrics Julie sent she really has a good eye.  If you have not been to her super cute blog you must go visit her.  You will fall in love with it.

Pattern Sales and Valentines

I am over the moon with excitement.  Today I called my local quilt shop and asked them if they would be interested in my pattern.  They asked me to email a picture so I did.  Oh my gosh they called me right back and said they were interested and asked if  they could also display the quilt.  Of course you can I said.  I got everything together and went right over with my heart beating with excitement the whole way.

Isn't this the cutest Valentine ever?   My sweet friend Carla made this for me.  I was so excited that she surprised me with this.   It is just gorgeous.

Just look what else she included.  This sweet lavender and white polka dot suit case with Cath Kidston buttons, paper from Sweet Little Studio, glass heart and the cutest cloth's pins.  Oh I am in love.  Thank you so much Carla you know me so well.

Machine Quilting

Good morning Chickadee's.  I am so happy I have decided to offer machine quilting.  When I quilt I ONLY use 100% cotton batting and thread.  The pricing will depend on how big your quilt is.  So please send me and email and I happy to give your pricing.

You are never going to believe I finished the t-shirt quilt for a customer (in the post below) and totally forgot to take a picture of it.  DUH!  I called her and she said she be here in like 20 minutes.  All I could think of was to pick up the house.  It was not that bad but I hate for someone to come over and it is all cluttered.

Today I am going to put the binding on the surprise quilt so I can get it mailed out this week.  I promise to remember to take a picture of that one.

FNWF and New Fabric in my Shop

Last night I joined some of my friends for Friday night with FRIENDS.  Cheryll is the host of FNWF.  If you want to see what everyone was doing hop on over to Cheryll's.

  This is what I did.  I finished quilting a t-shirt quilt for a customer that lives in our small town.  They are Texas A&M fans and our high school colors just so happen to be the same spirit colors as A&M.

 

In this picture you can see the quilting a lot better.  

We are so proud of our football team.  They did not loose one game and won state.

These are a few of the new fabric's I got in my shop this week.  The top two are Shabby Fabric's line and the bottom two pin dots are Lecien Basic Colors.  I am just in love with these fabric's.  So sorry the pictures are so bad I used Foto Flexer and when I do my pictures do not turn out all that.  I am still trying to figure out Adobe Elements 10.

FNWF and Valentines

I can not believe it is already February.  Just wanted to share a couple of Valentines that I have with you.  There are not many as I am still collecting them.  But I thought these where super cute.
