Finally able to get some more of my pictures out of my camera and  I wanted  to show you.   I got this WONDERFUL SURPRISE from Cherise at http://www.sewinglyalong.blogspot.com/  I just love this quilted pillow sham she sent me.  The lavenders and purples are just GREAT.   Thank you so much Cherish for thinking of me.  I just LOVE my SURPRISE.

My husband did a GREAT job.  We are kinda at a point where there is not much we can think of that we want. (other than fabric) giggles.   So I emailed him a few books that I would like.  And he picked out a few more he thought I would like.  It is so hard to surprise each other well this time it worked.  He knows how I just LOVE surprises.

The books he picked are The Perfect Apron and The Farm Chicks Christmas.  I have been enjoying all my new books and I am getting some WONDERFUL visions.

We have also been working on my sewing room.  I just can not seem to get it right.  David was so sweet he put up some more shelves for me.  Just trying to make more room.   I am also so EXCITED we ordered my quilting machine today and I can not wait.  I have just out grew my small machine and can not wait to be able to quilt with more throat room.

Well it is time to snuggle hope you have sweet dreams.

Hugs

Hope everyone had a WONDERFUL Christmas.  We had a GREAT Christmas our son was home for Christmas Eve and Christmas day.  It was so much  FUN to have him home.  He loves to cook and he chimed right in to help.  I just love it when we are all in the kitchen together.

The mail man was really good to me.  Renee at http://myvintagemending.blogspot.com/  sent me these GREAT patterns and the tea towel.  Thank you so much Renee you are such a sweet heart.  You should visit her blog.  It is so cute and vintagey.

Oh my, my friend Carla surprised me with this beautiful vintage wreath.  Carla has been collecting vintage Christmas ornaments and made this wreath for me.   It hangs on my wall right above our Christmas tree.  It fits so well.

Carla also included this  little vintage deer.  She painted the antlers and tail with purple glitter paint.  She knows my love for purple.  Thank you so much Carla I love them.

My co worker Nancy surprised me with this ice skate before we left for Christmas.  She has been decorating ice skates for awhile and she knows how much I just love them.   She has done a GREAT job.  Nancy can create with anything.  Seems she always has a WONDERFUL vision.

This is the other side of my skate.  Just to cute.  Thank you so much Nancy.   I just love all your creations.

I have more pictures to show you but I am having camera and computer problems.  Hopefully we will get it all worked out soon.

David and I moved some furniture today to add some shelves to my sewing room .  Boy did it open it up.  Made more room for my treasures and it also gave me room to collect more (giggles)

Hope everyone is enjoying this time of year with your family and friends.

Hugs,
donna

Santa Sack Swap

Thursday night  David and I met Joyce and her hubby at Carbabba's for dinner and to open our Santa Sack Swap gifts..  Joyce and her hubby are such a sweet couple.  We have a lot fun and a lot of laughs when we get together.  You can visit Joyce at http://youngbydesign.blogspot.com/
Just look at all the goodies just waiting to be unwrapped.  Cheryll at http://stitchingcubbyhole.blogspot.com/ is our swap momma.  You should visit her blog to see all the wonderful goodies everyone exchanged.

This was one of Joyce's final gifts from me.

Joyce made me this sweet purple polka dot and paisley apron.  I just love how she put it together.

These are some pot holders Joyce made to go with my apron.  The underneath picture is the back side or maybe the front.  I just love them.  The quilting is awesome and Joyce free motioned quilted these.  She has a great talent.

Oh and just look at the older magazines.  They are full of visions just waiting to unfold.  I just love the fabric I am in love with floral's as well.

I love this fabric bowl.  Going to have to learn how to do this.

The charm pack is full of beautiful cottagey fabrics.  The tags are just the cutest things and I just love the button pins.  Oh yes there is lavender in there.

I just love love these Christmas polka dot towels.  The pot holders are a great surprise.  Joyce was just showing me a pair of these and I was admiring them wishing I had a set.  Well Santa brought them.

This is some GREAT stationary and cup coasters.  That is another thing I just love to collect is stationary.  It is just like fabric can never have enough.

This is a pack of feed sacks oh yes I said feed sacks.  There is 2 of each print.  I am in feed sack heaven.

This is a WONDERFUL book.  I have just looked through it a million times now it is time to actually read it.  I just love all the illustrations.  To bad I was to young to wear a dress like that.  Well I do not think my waist was ever that tiny. (giggles)

This advent calender Joyce made me had some wonderful goodies it.  Oh and if you know me you know I could not wait to see what was in each pocket.  I put all the gifts on the pocket so you could see all my surprises.   Thank you so much Joyce.  I truly love all my gifts.  You are a real sweet heart.  Now all we need to do is wait for you to finish your next marathon.  So we can go antiquing/ fabric shopping.

Wonderful Treasures From The Mail Box.

I joined an apron swap over at  Sue's http://countrypleasures.blogspot.com/.  Thank you so much Sue for hosting such a wonderful apron swap.  You should watch her blog the next apron swap is going to be for Valentines.   My partner was Shug at http://shug-stepsoffaith.blogspot.com/  Just look at the sweet apron she sent me.  I just love Cardinals at Christmas time.  I did learn something new about Cardinals.  David told me that the male has the bright colors and the females not so much.  I just love my apron Shug Thank you so much.

This is the apron that I sent Shug.  This picture was taken before my wonderful hubby changed the settings on my camera.  Sorry the picture is not all that.  But I just fell in love with this retro Santa fabric.  And of course I had to add rick rack to complete it.

Last week Joyce from http://youngbydesign.blogspot.com/ and I had lunch and look what she made me.  This wonderful apron and it is reversible.  Just look at the great quilting Joyce did. I just love it Joyce Thank You so much.

This is the other side.  Love it.

I finally finished my $5. suitcase.  After mod podging it, it would stick where it was hard to open.  So I had the brainy idea that I would put purple rick rack (imagine that)  around the bottom so when I closed it, it would no longer stick.  You guessed it now I can not close it.  Whoops!  So I finally got the middle latch to close so I forgot to open it and take a picture of the inside.  The inside is also done in purple fabric.  I am going to store all my rick rack, trims and ribbons in it.

I joined a Christmas tag swap at Sue's http://suelovescherries.blogspot.com/. This is what my swap partner Angelina sent me from http://shoprubyjean.com/ I just love my new tag.  Angelina also sent me the most beautiful angel Christmas ornament.  I tried to take a picture of it but could not get a good picture. (sorry)  Thank you so much Angelina.  I would also like to Thank Sue for hosting this swap.  It was a lot of fun.

This is the tag I sent Angelina.

My cousin had a little boy 3 years ago.  He is like an only child since his bigger brother is 19.  I do not think there is a toy that he does not have so I decided to make him this pillow case.  Landon seemed to just love it.

Tomorrow is going to be a big sew day for me.  I am not making anyone quilts this year for Christmas since I did not get my act together early enough.  So it is going to be other crafty things.  I will have to show you as I finish them.   I missed the FNSI last night.  We had a Christmas party at work and by the time I got home I was pooped.  But we did have a lot of fun and laughs.

This is our Vintage Christmas tree this year.  I found some new Shiney Brite ornaments at Home Goods this year and Dillard's last year.  They where much cheaper than the vintage ones.  I did add the ornaments that Nancy gave me to complete our tree.

These are the tags I am making this year for the packages.  I just love this Santa.  I found him at http://imagimeris.blogspot.com/  Thank you so much for sharing Meri.  You should visit her blog it is wonderful and she is just a sweetheart.

This is what I have been doing today.  I embroidered some throws and some other things that I can not show you because the gifts are going to people that read my blog.   I did finish mod podging my nieces truck and my suitcase is finally finished.  When they are finished drying I will take pictures to show you.

Nancy brought me these ornaments last week.  She found them at a thrift store and she said that she bought all three boxes.  That lucky girl.  I know where she goes and every time I am in there it is a dud.  She does live closer than I do so she is able to hit it just right.  Thank you so much Nancy I just LOVE them.  I am using my grandmother's tree this year and the ornaments are perfect.  I will show you my Christmas tree as soon as I get some more presents wrapped.

Last Wednesday  I had lunch with Joyce from http://youngbydesign.blogspot.com/ and exchanged our Santa Sack gifts at La Madeline.   I just love how Joyce wrapped these gifts.  The rosettes are just gorgeous.  She always as the greatest ideas.   I think I will have to figure out how to save the rosettes.  We have one more exchange but we are waiting to see what the date is going to be and then we are going to meet for dinner.  I can not wait.  My Santa sack is FULL.  Lunch is so much fun with Joyce she always makes me Laugh.

Well I truly think I need to ask Santa for a better camera for Christmas.  These pictures do not do this fabric justice.  It is Pam Kitty Morning's latest fabric.  I am so in love with this fabric.  The top piece is white with tiny yellow polka dots I thought that piece would make a great back ground piece.  Now I just need to figure out what I am going to make.  In the mean time it is going to be fun collecting it.

I bought 2 of these cute little kitty panels.  Just could not resist these vintage little kitty's.

Now this is really a BAD picture I am so sorry.  David and I went to Old Town Spring yesterday just killing time while we where waiting on a part for our son's car.  I was looking for dog fabrics and I really had to dig since the shop owner loves cats.  Well this is what I came out with.  I am going to make a couple of aprons for Kristen for Christmas.  She is the lady that grooms our Duchess every week.  Kristen is a total sweetheart.  I feel like I should of made these for her long time ago.

Well once again it is a very windy day and very dusty.  I guess the dust is coming out of the fields.  I am hoping to get some sewing done and in between I need to mod podge a trunk for my niece for Christmas.  Nothing like the last minute since we are exchanging gifts next weekend.

Hope everyone has a WONDERFUL weekend.
