WOW!  This has been a CRAZY busy week.  I am so glad it is over.  The post man left me a wonderful surprise earlier this week in my mail box.   I joined an apron swap over at Sue's http://countrypleasures.blogspot.com/ and Cherise from http://www.sewinglyalong.blogspot.com/ was my partner and I am so glad she was.  I am loving getting to know her.

This is the gorgeous apron she sent me.  Just look at the detail.  Purple bottoms, purple rick rack and the sweet ruffle at the bottom.  Cherise asked me what kind of apron I wanted and I asked her to surprise me.  (I just love surprises.)  And I am so glad I did I just  LOVE with my new apron. The fabric is so cute and I just love the look of rick rack and the pumpkins.

Along with my apron Cherise made me these wonderful coasters.  I am just loving the pumpkins on the purple and she had wrapped them with the purple rick rack.  The card she made is so cute.  Cherise really did a great job and I am so HAPPY with my apron.  Thank you so much Cherise.

This is the apron I sent Cherise.  I decided to make it reversible.  On one pocket you can see the autumn leaf but due to my not so great camera skills you can not see the bumble bee on the other pocket.  This swap was so much fun. I am so glad I could be a part of it.

Tomorrow is Dottie Hop Day at http://holly-girlsatheart.blogspot.com/  You should pop over and see all the beautiful polka dots.  Since I have to work tomorrow thought I would do an early post.

This is some fabric I got last week from Fabric.com I am so addicted.  These dots are from the Dolly Days collection.  I could not resist them.

This hankie is one of things I found in Warrenton.  I fell in love with it and I just love the polka dots all around it and it helped that it was lavender. (giggles)   Hope every one has a great week.

This has been a really busy weekend.  But we had fun.  It started on Friday we went to Warrenton.  Carla rode with us and we met my cousin Natalie on the way.  Later in the morning Autumn (my niece) and my sister met up with us.  We where there all day and had a BLAST.  Boy do my legs hurt.  But I found some great treasures.

I could not resist this sweet little girl.

This planter is so cute with the violets and the little girl with the crooked smile.  I have other treasures to show you but I do not have it all together yet.
We are just getting home this afternoon.  My cousin got marred yesterday  and it was a beautiful wedding.  Sorry I do not have any pictures since I forgot my camera.  It was so much fun seeing everyone and catching up with each others lives. Our husbands did not want to dance but that did not stop us.  Us girls got out there and had some fun.  Take it back I am so glad I did not take my camera.  Trust me we do not want evidence of that.  (giggles)

Earlier this week I had lunch with my Santa Sack partner Joyce from http://youngbydesign.blogspot.com/ I ordered this shabby fabric from her Meylah store. I just could not resist it. I feel in LOVE with it.  You can go here to shop http://meylah.com/youngbydesign I am not sure what I am going to make with it yet.  Thought I would save it for just the right project.  I am sure I will be in bed early tonight but not before I do some wash.  Hope everyone is having a great day.

Happy Dotty Day

This is an early post for tomorrow.  Since I have to work I thought I would do it this evening.  If you know me you know I am not a morning person.  I love my sleep.  (hehehe)
Holly at http://holly-girlsatheart.blogspot.com/ is hosting Happy Dotty Day.  I just love polka dots.  So this going to be a lot of fun.  Please visit Holly and check out all the cute polka dots.

This heart wreath is one that my friend Carla made me.  Hope you can see the lavender and white polka dots?  I keep giving my camera the benefit of the dought.

This D you can buy at Hobby Lobby.  It was fun to paint purple and the polka dots are lavender.  This is going to be a busy week for me. So I hope everyone has a GREAT week.

I found this cute little card on the internet last night.  Thought it was so cute and appropriate since we got RAIN.  I am so happy I love to hear it rain.  The rain started yesterday afternoon.  It makes it so much cooler as well. We got a little more just a while ago so I opened my window while I was sewing.  It was GREAT.

This is what I did yesterday.  I made a few of these pumpkins.  I have to go buy so more fluff and I want some different toppings for them.  My friend Sharon made me some a few years ago and I love them.  So I thought I would make a few.

I also did a few paper crafts.  This one I am undecided on.  I did not want the paper to be perfect so that is ok but you can barely see the house.  I played and played with it.  Maybe it should be that way since it is haunted?   Hope everyone has a great evening.  I am going to join hubby for a movie and some popcorn.

Last night was a great Friday Night Sew-In.   This is the quilt I have been quilting. (still not finished)  I found it I guess last summer?  At a resale shop.

This is the design I am using on the quilt.  Thought I would show since you can not see it very well on the quilt.    I do not have a long arm, maybe a mid arm.  Any way when I buy patterns I have to size them done a bit.  This is the first time for me to do this pattern so I need lots of practice with this one.  But it has been a lot of fun.

The ADD kick in while I was quilting.  So I set up the embroidery on my machine.  So while I was quilting these Sun Bonnet Sue's where being created.    I thought they would make cute cards.

I finished my apron for the swap too.  Sorry I can not show you I want it to be a surprise.  Today I am thinking about making some pumpkins.  I will show you tomorrow hopefully they will be worthy of a picture. Hope everyone is having a great Saturday.  The weather is teasing us today.  It got cloudy but NO rain.

I am also trying my hand at some paper crafts.  Will show you later if they come out.  Hope everyone is having a great day.

My sweet blogging friends please pray for the people here in Texas that have lost everything due to the fires here. Bastrop is about 2ish to 3ish hours away and finally yesterday the haze from the smoke is gone around here.  Last night on the news so for there have been like 1,400 homes burned.  The family's that where told to evacuate had like 5 minutes to grab what they could and run.  I have only seen the pictures on the news and it saddens my heart.  I am not sure about donations but one of our patients at work was going down there today so I thought it is time to clean out our closet.

On a much happier note.  I get in so much trouble at Fabric.com.  This is just a little mix of fabrics I got in the mail yesterday.  If you buy $35. the shipping is free and then if there is a sale well that is another added bonus.

I got this sweet little panel too.  Not sure what I am going to do with it yet but is was just to cute to pass up.  I am thinking a few of them just might make a couple of cut pictures for my sewing room.  That means my David will have to make me a few picture frame's.  The trouble with that is picking out just the right wood.

This is the little scare crow I made.  It is on my little shelf in the kitchen.  I painted a few more faces to make a couple more, maybe they will get better as I make more.  Hope everyone is having a wonderful Saturday.

Hello Chickadee's.  Boy today the North wind has really been blowing and the temps are still at a 102.  Maybe soon we will get cooler weather.  Thought I would show you one of my quilts that I hung on the wall by my quilting machine.  I love this quilt in all the purples and lavender.  The hearts are my absolute favorite.  I used some fabrics from the Debbie Beaves collection. ( hope I spelled her name right)   Sorry the picture does not do it justice.

I had been telling you about the shelf David hung for me.  Well I finally got it loaded with some treasures.  Once again the picture is not so good Sorry.  The little sewing machine was given to my mom by her aunt when she was little.  Much of the detail is gone.  But I love it anyway.

This is the next project I am working on.  I painted the little faces today.  So I am guessing maybe I will put them together tomorrow.   Shoot I forgot to show you the hat that goes on my little scarecrow.  There are a lot of projects going on in my sewing room.  I have a quilt on the machine while I do a few rows I have my sewing machine doing some embroidery then I stopped everything today and ran to Hobby Lobby about 45 minutes away to get the goodies for my scarecrow this afternoon and I still forgot a few things.  I guess that is why David tells me to make a list.  WHOOPS!  Hope everyone is having a great evening.
