We decorated our Christmas tree very vintage this year. Behind some of the ornaments are some glass beads we found at Kohl's last year and this year we found some silver tinsel that you toss on the tree like
when we where kids. Oh what fun that was. I just love love our Christmas tree.

Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving and got to spend some meaningful time with friends and loved ones. Today I decided that we would decorate for Christmas. I pulled out some of my Christmas quilts and thought I would share them with you. I do notice that maybe next I should press them before I show them to you as you can see the fold in some of them oops. As you can tell there was a time I was just in love with everything Thimbleberries. While I have moved on to 1930's. But I still have a closet full of Thimbleberries fabric. Every now and then some of it will fit it somehow. Well the house is all done for Christmas. But you never know I always find more treasures to add to my Christmas collection.

Thanksgiving Traditions
I know everyone has there own traditions for Thanksgiving. But ours is after Thanksgiving dinner David and I curl up on the couch in front of the fireplace and watch old Christmas movies like Miracle on 34th Street and A Christmas Story. Thanksgiving is such a special time when everyone comes together. I just love this time of year.
We are so Thankful for everyone in our lives and everything God has blessed us with.
Happy Thanksgiving

David and I are invited to go to my bosses house tonight they are having a Fall Ya'll party. We need to bring something with pumpkin in it or apple. So I decided to take pumpkin bread. Well last night when I was on one of my favorite places to go http://www.sugarpiefarmhouse.com/ . Aunt Ruthie has an apple butter recipe on her blog. Now I have never tasted apple butter must less made it. But last night I made it in my crock pot wow is it good and it made the whole house smell good. This is a must try for everyone. Now be careful when it comes time to blend it I used my hand mixer oh what a mess. Next time I will have purchased a hand Immerison Blender. ( just like Aunt Ruthie suggests )
I think my apple butter is going to look so yummy in this dish.
This is the fall around my kitchen sink. I just love the turkey platter sorry for the glare.
Love ya,

Good morning. Well I had to go to work for a little while on Saturday so I did not get to sew. But yesterday I got the binding on my Strawberry Smoothie quilt by Quilt Soup. And I finished month 2 of my Circle of friends quilt by Bloom Creek and Judie Rothermel. Thought I would show you our fall fireplace and notice I had to put a little laverner/purple on the right hand side. The quilted pumpkin is a Thimbleberries pattern and my David made the frame for it to go in. He did a wonderful job. I just love this time of year, getting to curl up by the fireplace with hot coco and a good movie. Today I am thinking I will stay in my PJ's and sew sew. Hope everyone has a wonderful week.
This is the cirlce of friends quilt I am working on. Don't you just love it?

I just finished quilting Sharon's Texas flag quilt. This is the second one she has done. Sharon made one for her son and this one is going to be her nephew's Christmas present. Thought you also would like to see how I quilted it with stars and loops. Hope everyone has a wonderful day.
Happy Quilting.
